What is it
Help for rural families without a proper home to build a safe, permanent house of their own.
Am I eligible
For rural families who are houseless or living in a kutcha (temporary) house, identified from the SECC / Awaas+ survey list and approved by the Gram Sabha. Check with your Gram Panchayat to see if your family is on the list.
What you get
Assistance to build a house — ₹1.20 lakh in plain areas and ₹1.30 lakh in hilly / North-Eastern states and J&K / Ladakh, released in instalments. You also get about 90–95 days of MGNREGA wage labour and ₹12,000 for a toilet under Swachh Bharat.

How to apply
- Visit your Gram Panchayat or the Block office and ask about the PMAY-Gramin / Awaas+ list.
- If your name is in the eligible list, your details are registered on the AwaasSoft system.
- Link your Aadhaar and bank account so the money reaches you directly.
- Track your instalments on the official portal or with your Panchayat.
