PM-KISAN (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi)

What is it

Income support for landholding farmer families, paid straight into their bank account.

Am I eligible

You may be eligible if your family owns cultivable farm land. Some groups are left out — income-tax payers; serving or retired government and public-sector employees (except Group D / multi-tasking staff); people who hold or held a constitutional or elected post (MP, MLA, minister, mayor); practising professionals like doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants and architects; and pensioners drawing ₹10,000 or more a month. You must complete eKYC and have your Aadhaar linked to your bank account.

What you get

₹6,000 a year, paid in three equal instalments of ₹2,000, directly into your Aadhaar-linked bank account.

Documents needed

Tick off what you have. Use “Download checklist” to print a clean list to carry.

How to apply

1. Register at pmkisan.gov.in under 'New Farmer Registration', or at your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC).
2. Enter your Aadhaar number and fill in your land and bank details.
3. Complete eKYC using the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile, or by biometric at a CSC.
4. Note your registration number and track your instalment status on the portal.
