What is it

A monthly payment to the woman recognised as the head of her family, giving her a basic income of her own.

Am I eligible

For eligible women in Tamil Nadu who are the woman head of the household. Poorer families — those with an Antyodaya (AAY) or Priority Household ration card — are covered on priority. The exact income and other conditions are set by the state, so check the official portal or your e-Sevai centre to confirm your eligibility.

What you get

₹1,000 paid every month directly into the woman's own bank account.

How to apply

1. Apply through the official portal (kmut.tn.gov.in) or your nearest e-Sevai centre / camp when the state opens applications.
2. Fill in your details and attach your ration card, Aadhaar and bank passbook.
3. Your application is checked against the eligibility list.
4. Once approved, ₹1,000 is credited to your bank account every month.
